Family First – How to incorporate some ‘Family Time’ into your lifestyle

family time

Being content is perhaps the next big besides being god, because no one ever seems to be. Well we might be less predictable when it comes to results may be a common thing these days but then that too may be current fad. Well fad sounds strange doesn’t it?

Somehow our lifestyles have led us to conclude and believe that being content is not good enough, and that there is always something better. I quote a famous saying I read somewhere and it goes like this, “We do need to compromise to be compassionate” Compassionate to our achievements and materialistic assets. We should be indeed and there from where being content is born. Yes agreed there is always a better job, a better house, a better car a better person to be with, but does that mean we keep rolling till be age? Absolutely not and heaven’s help us if we fall into that trap. This does not translate into compromising dreams and ambitions, but into being satisfied with what we have. At the end of the day the condo or the BMW in the garage is not going to talk to us and have dinner with us. Our lifestyle should be family first. This is a nice website - Family First, which we came across which helps moms and dads on how to love their kids effectively.

Its people and that is what we forget and slip into the great escape of this rat race. We must learn to be content and humble and extract happiness from within ourselves by highlighting what we achieve. So here are a few things, which might just make you want to get closer with your family once in a while leaving your mobile phones and laptops aside.

cute and happy family

A happy weekend dinner is something that we would love to have once in a while. I mean why not share some good, healthy conversation, update on each other’s lives, we shall learn a few things from our parents and they can learn a few things from us. You will not even know when it is time to go to bed.

Unlike those idiot boxes which claim to entertain us these days, they sure do make us look like an ‘idiot’. But be sure that your family will never do that to you. Find some encouragement on certain days by bringing your greatest hobbies be it the songs that you wrote from a heart break or the music that you might have composed on a lonely night or the poems that you have been noting down pages after pages left unseen. Your families can sometimes be your best critics and will surely give you what you need to hear. Try doing that! If you are staying in Gurgaon, You may order some fresh flowers from BloomsVilla Gurgaon to freshen the moods of everyone in your family!

Kitchen is a place where we hardly go nowadays. With the innumerable food apps which bring delicious food right at your doorstep, we sometimes forget how the taste of mum’s homemade food feels like. Your mother might also have stopped cooking because of your love for junk food. For once, let that slide. Go back to those childhood days where the happiness you used to get from the rumbling of your stomach being satisfied by mum’s cooked food is the kind of ‘content’ that you need to feel. Trust me. It isn’t just you who is going to feel happy and satisfied at the end of the meal but your mum might be standing there at the kitchen corner and feeling more content with happy tears! What more happiness could you give her?

What about trying to start a family exercise routine together? Most of us these days fail to care for our health and what’s more unfair is how our families being busy looking after and worrying for the entire household, don’t even get a chance to take care of themselves. So, let us do our bit and instead of taking a gym membership to look fabulous ourselves, let’s try to bring in our parents into a healthy routine. You do not have to make them run on the treadmill, but you cannot even imagine how walking a few miles every morning or evening and asking them to join you won’t just suffice for the health benefits but also stir up some fun and interesting family time!
